As a specialist in the field of ship carving, such time can be kept to a minimum, by referring to a readily available data base and ever growing knowledge of the subject which, as a practising carver, is not restricted to a purely academic understanding. 

We can be commissioned to carry out research into a particular subject to produce a reference document, or to form the preliminary work for a carving commission
