Restoration of a Victorian figurehead for the Waterways museum at Goole on Humberside England.
Restoration included repairs to carving, re-painting, applying gesso and gilding.
Neptune was unfortunately to far gone to restore, but we carved a faithful copy, which can now be seen beside the Thames on the lawn of the Upper Thames sailing club, Bourne End, England. Click on image to enlarge.

To keep the original figure un-restored it underwent a process of computer scanning and C.N.C. cutting to produce a second figure, which I then re-carved completing damaged and missing sections.
